KIBLAT.NET , New York - Naveed Shinwari and three other American
Muslims is suing the U.S. government after claiming that they have been
included in the no-fly list in an attempt to force them to work for the
FBI and spying on other Muslims .
Shinwari said that he did not know how he got in that banned list . New York Times reports that there are around 700,000 people into the U.S. no-fly list .
As
proclaimed World Bulletin on Friday , ( 25 / 04 ) , Shinwari is
scheduled to return to the U.S. from Afghanistan in February 2012
because he was getting married. His way home with his mother stopped in Dubai , where he was denied a boarding pass to get into the U.S. . He was then taken to a room where he was interrogated by two FBI
agents during a four -hour , in which he was asked if he had attended
training camps in Afghanistan .
Once stuck in Dubai for five days , he was finally given a boarding pass to the U.S. . Shinwari
directly interrogated by FBI agents upon his arrival in Washington was
followed by several FBI agents to visit his home . A month later he was told that he entered into a no-fly list . For this reason , he has not been able to visit his wife for 26 months .
Shinwari
lawyer , Shayana Kadidal complained that there is no clear definition
of what causes a person to fall into the banned list and there is no way
to appeal . According to him , it creates a situation that is vulnerable to allegations of abuse .
Kadidal
also mentioned that there is a case where seseorangpernah mistakenly
put on the list because the FBI officer accidentally ticked the " yes "
instead of " no " on the assessment form in 2005 . Till eight years
later he did not know how it could happen . As a result , students who received a PhD from Stanford University was
not able to travel back to the U.S. from Malaysia to complete his
studies .
According
Kadidal , there are other plaintiffs who had never seen his wife and
three daughters for 5 years while others are not able to travel to
Pakistan to see ailing grandmother and 93 -year -old . [ sdqfajar ]
